Allissa & Ryan’s “Monsoon Wedding”

While the storm of the decade raged outside, inside the cozy, warm décor of The Conover Road Banquet Center, the Getto and Kircher families were celebrating the “Monsoon Wedding” of Allissa & Ryan.

The gorgeous venue took on an added sense of elegance with Up Lighting, stage and dance floor lighting illuminating the spacious room with color.

A 1700 Watt Mackie Sound System reinforced the sounds of Allissa’s new father-in-law as he sang and played guitar for the bride & groom’s first dance.

Father Daughter DanceThere wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd as Allissa’s dad, Fred Getto, escorted his daughter to the dance floor for a dance to one of his favorite tunes, “That’s How Strong My Love Is” by Otis Redding.

A gourmet buffet , provided by award winning caterer, Tastefully Yours by Joyce, www.tastefullyyoursbyjoyce.com treated the guests to a sumptuous meal.

While most of the surrounding Monmouth County area was blacked out due to trees and poles knocked down by the ongoing raging storm outside, uninterrupted electricity was provided by The Colts Neck Volunteer Fire Company.

It was at this event , that the newly designed 6 Panel , 54” high FaCIEd was unveiled publicly for the first time. It was a “brilliant” success!

The guests packed the dance floor throughout the evening under the splendor of the atmosphere enhancing intelligent light show, as Steve Cie led the revelers in familiar dance steps such as The Cha Cha Slide, Cupid Shuffle, Cotton-Eye Joe, Conga , and The Circle of Love. A well orchestrated Dollar Dance to the music of Kenny Vance & The Planotones, capped off the group set, as a set of Top Twenty Music ensued.

One of Allissa’s favorite artists is Michael Jackson, and a specially mixed 15 minute long medley by Steve Cie, created specifically for this occasion, packed the dance floor!

All in all, “The Monsoon Wedding” will undoubtedly be remembered for a long time to come!

Be sure to select the entertainment for your Dream Reception carefully and wisely!

With the economy still reeling, now is an oportune time for couples to capitalize on the economy and get their best value for their special day!

You’ll note that I said “Best Value”, not best pricing.

Your wedding reception is a once-in-a-lifetime event that you will cherish forever. This is not an event to be excessively frugal with. But, you can appreciate excellent value in a depressed economic marketplace.

Some of the do’s and don’ts.

Entertainment. A crucial, yet often neglected component for a truly memorable event.

Do select an entertainment company that is reputable, insured, has great references, offers emergency back-up solutions and plans, has professional and dependable equipment, a music library that can fulfill your expectations,and  is a member of nationally and locally recognized trade associations. Such associations provide back-up support, on-going education, and reputation validation.

Do select someone who has an extensive background in the business and years and years of experience in conductingwedding receptions!

A special event is coming up for you and your family. One of life’s celebrations is at hand. You want to make it special, enjoyable, and memorable.

Special care has been taken to locate the perfect venue, the  right food, and festive decorations. But have you done your due diligence as it pertains to securing the best possible entertainment for your special occasion?

Surveys have conclusively shown that one of the most important ingredients for a successful event is the entertainment.

You can have the best food, the most elegant ambiance, all for nill because your guests were blasted with the wrong music at the wrong volume, from a loud mouthed DJ who had no relevance to the guests.

The main pitfall here is that  hosts shop for the entertainment based predominantly on price.

In today’s economy, everyone shops price. But, you must also consider features and benefits as well as price.

What is the price of a DJ? Better question, what is the cost of an inexpensive DJ?

The cost is an event that everyone will remember as an event gone bad!

As the economy slowly makes a comeback, and the weary days of winter are now behind us, it’s time for the Spring Party Season to get underway!

Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, First Holy Communion and Confirmation Parties, Cinco De Mayo Celebrations, Proms and Graduation Parties, Holiday Weekend Bar-B-Q’s, and of course, Fabulous Wedding Receptions!

All of these celebrations have one important thing in common. High quality, professional entertainment can make them better!

All too often the budget for this most important element of your special occasion is minimized and neglected. And after the event, the hosts almost always regret not making the entertainment a priority.

In a recent survey conducted by The American Disc Jockey Association, nearly 80% of brides polled said that in hindsight, they would have budgeted more for their entertainment!

With the incredible amount of part time, wanna-be low cost weekend only disc jockeys available on the open market, this is no surprise!

Five of the most common complaints about low priced DJ’s:

1. Poor or inadequate equipment

2. Music played too loud

3. Poor music selection

4. Poor visual presentation

5. Lack of audience inter-action

A professional disc jockey entertainment company cannot afford these pitfalls. In order to stay in business, professional disc jockeys constantly attend industry seminars designed to improve both their performance and their business practices.
